Public Prosecutor vs Asyraf Wajdi Bin Sharifuddin & Ahmad Aizat Bin Mat Salleh

In the High Court of Kota Bharu, Kelantan, two accused were charged under Section 26J of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007 (ATIPSOM) for transporting 24 Myanmar migrants. Both pleaded guilty and were sentenced to 2 years imprisonment from the date of arrest (25/1/2019) and fined RM5,000, with an additional 6 months imprisonment if the fine is not paid.
