Tay Kiang Heong v Pendakwa Raya

Tay Kiang Heong was convicted of outraging the modesty of Ms Yeap Woan Tyng under Section 354 of the Penal Code. The Sessions Court sentenced him to 3 years imprisonment, which was reduced to 3 months by the High Court. The Court of Appeal dismissed Tay's appeal against conviction but enhanced the sentence to 1 year imprisonment, maintaining the RM8,000 fine.
