Pendakwa Raya vs Taiko Fertiliser & Ors

The Public Prosecutor appealed against the High Court's decision to reject an application for forfeiture of assets under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001. The assets included seven bank accounts and two luxury vehicles. The Court of Appeal allowed the appeal, finding that the High Court had erred in not following the mandatory procedure under section 61(2) of the Act.
