Tech Art Sdn Bhd v Metropolitan Bumi Sdn Bhd

Tech Art Sdn Bhd, the main contractor for a university campus construction project, sued Metropolitan Bumi Sdn Bhd, the subcontractor, for unpaid costs, fees, and other expenses. The Defendant denied liability and counterclaimed for higher amounts owed by the Plaintiff. The High Court awarded the Plaintiff RM745,161.18 and allowed the Defendant's counterclaim of RM6,838,927.08, resulting in a net judgment sum of RM5,713,247.03 in favor of the Defendant. Costs of RM60,000 were awarded to the Defendant.
